    A Transmission Installation

    Brunswick Art Space Sept 2011.

A reclaiming of intrusive Proximity Marketing technology to create a new platform for the delivery of text based and image based artwork to the phones of those in a 40 meter vicinity.  Throughout the duration of the exhibition, the installation would detect any mobile phones with Bluetooth enables and send them messages or pictures.

A series of text and image based artworks were created for transmission.

In recent years, this same bluetooth technology has been used to market to those in a nearby vicinity, usually in shopping centres.

This installation was a reclaiming of this intrusive technology which instead of trying to entice the innocent passer by into a shop to consume, instead was sending a gift of an artwork.
