Specimen is an installation made in collaboration with a living landscape. Taking images of Specimens from the National Museum of Australia Collection, this project attempts to explore human connection with and domination over the non human world. By returning these objects to the landscape, can we create an emotional connection to them?
Specimen was show at Artlands in Dubbo 2016 and in 2017/18 will tour to 6 regional locations in NSW and Victoria.

In Jan 2017 I will be spending time in the East Gippsland area of Orbost Victoria immersed in a research lab called DIRt (Dance In Regional disasTer zones).
Rod Crisp who's dance practice is interested in "channelling what is happening in the living world through my dance" has invited a team of dancers and artists to the region to work in response to the local logging industry and the immense environmental concerns of the region. This is the first step in an ongoing process.
