Grong Grong Creative House

Directed by Vic McEwan, 6 artists lived within the confines of the Grong Grong Motor Inn in remote regional NSW for one week to make work in response to their rooms and the surrounding area.

The resulted in a public presentation on Saturday 10th August 2013.

A daily blog was kept by the participating artists here.

Video documentation:

As well as directing the project, Vic created a performance using an instrument built on site from a car trailer. This can be viewed in the video above and rehearsals on the trailer iinstrument can be listened to below.

Vic also created another small installation with a pair of headphones installed into a drain downpipe.  When people put the headphones on they could hear a recording of rain taken several days earlier which had been manipulated to extract cello like tones.
